Merry Christmas Bill!

In honor of Bill and his many many hours of service he has given to Cole, I decided to make baby quilts for the neo-natal intensive care unit. They use these quilts to put under the premature babies to give them a piece of warmth and "home" while they are in the hospital for many months. When the babies are finally released from the hospital, they give the quilts for the babies to take home w/ them as a memento.

Merry Christmas Bill! I am so glad you are a part of our family. You are an inspiration to many of us. I love you so much and I am so glad that you are married to my sister. Merry Christmas!

  1. Wow! Those are some impressive quilts. That must have taken a lot of time. A perfect gift for Bill.

  2. I am posting a comment here because, gosh darn it, my wife wants to see more comments. Actually, I am really impressed by the amount of service my wife put in this last month between being a Mom, teacher, YW's secretary, visiting teacher and friend. She has befriended those in spiritural and physical need. She has been a great missionary, a fantastic Mom and a loving wife. I have to remind her that it is ok to say no at times. She generally ignores me. I am so grateful I found her and I thank all her siblings for the example you are to her.

  3. Those quilts are beautiful!!!! What great blessings you will receive for taking time out of your very planned weeks to create a warm gift for those sweet spirits in NICU. Oh, it is heartbreaking to see such cute little spirits just laying there yurning for love, and knowing that there are some that are not wanted. It must crush Heavenly Fathers heart to see us not take care of our brothers and sisters. It will be fantastic for their first gift to be that of warmth and love. You are great Mitz, even though you are a brat! ;)

  6. Awesome job Mitz. One of the things that Ashley suggested was that I make quilts.I can promise that if I had done that they would not look anything like these.

  8. Mitz, simply gorgeous! I would say we should get you a superwoman cape, but it looks like you are doing fine without it:)

I too am glad I did not try to talk my husband into making "simple" quilts because HELLO! These are gorgeous!
